Implementing Innovative Delivery Models for On-Site and Near-Site Heath Clinics: Examining the ROI and Practical Approaches

The leaders of Willis Towers Watson’s consulting efforts focused on employer-sponsored health centers will share insights from their practice experience working with over 150 major employers and plan sponsors over the past several years. Bruce Hochstadt, MD and Kara Speer, MPH, will present recent developments in the on-site clinic niche and forecast future trends, and discuss ways to ensure successful implementations and long term outcomes. They will provide an overview and update on an innovative shared multi-employer near-site delivery model that enables mid-sized employers to provide their populations heightened access to high quality care. Also, findings from a 2016 client case study showcasing an independent and rigorous ROI measurement will be presented.

About the Workshop Leaders:

These programs can incorporate on-site or near-site dedicated health centers, virtual or telemediated care, and direct provider contracted arrangements through ACOs, Patient Centered Medical Homes, Custom Narrow Networks and Centers of Excellence. Dr. Hochstadt has collaborated actively to help develop analytics for modeling program impact through savings and clinical outcomes improvement, as well as applied objective metrics to the ongoing measurement and evaluation of such program operationally, financially and clinically. onsite-dentalOnsite Dental has been the leader in bringing high quality dental care to the workplace for 16 years. Dentistry is often the most requested workplace healthcare service, and a growing body of clinical research demonstrates the impact of oral health on general health (particularly diabetes and heart disease). Our state-of-the-art dental care models offer one of the highest ROI in worksite healthcare because they require less employer investment and can significantly improve oral health and overall health while lowering dental and chronic disease costs. We create a thriving dental practice at the workplace, billing dental carriers at in-network rates rather than charging employers a monthly fee. Our delivery models are customized to meet each employer’s needs, including traditional fixed-site practices, fully self-contained practices that require no plumbing and can be utilized full-time or part-time in virtually any clinical or conference room space, and industry-leading mobile practices that occupy a few parking spaces.

aaahcAAAHC advocates for high-quality health care through accreditation. Our nationally-recognized Standards are reviewed and updated annually by professionals representing primary and surgical specialties. This results in accreditation criteria that reflect current best practices relevant to diverse ambulatory health care settings ranging from community, student and employee health centers to ambulatory surgery centers. Our survey process is founded on peer-based review, creating a collaborative, consultative and educational approach that provides immediate benefits to organizations seeking accreditation.
